What a tough winter its been! Fell off knitting, too much else to do with things breaking around here and dogs needing more attention then usual with all the confinement they've had to undergo this winter. Everytime I start to get frustrated with how often it seems things cannot go right, that once something goes wrong EVERYTHING goes wrong, I remember how much happier and content I am now, much more so then in a very, very long time, how peaceful my life is now, and the frustration seems to melt away. Pfffft, broken applicances, car, all of it, it all eventually gets set right.
But I do have to get back to knitting, only have half the edging left to do on the blanket, would like to have it done before the baby I'm making it for is a year old at least.

Honey Baby II
Moving along on this, had to use a smaller needle with this yarn so the end blanket may be somewhat smaller, not a lot though. Love the color, nowhere near as soft as the Woolen Rabbit merino I used on the first one, but I think it will be pretty. I got this yarn off of eBay quite a few years ago, ordered several cones of this wool in different colors, but there are no markings on the cone and the receipt seems to be gone so no idea on the manufacturer. All I'm sure of is it is wool. And I'm happy to make even just a tiny dent in all the stashed yarn I have.
Seem to be having trouble with links suddenly, am going to try to link to the designer's website.
And just in case I manage to get it right, will link to the Woolen Rabbit site, her yarns are just wonderful. If the links don't come through aaaarrrrggghhh.
I just don't understand why I can't get hyperlinks to work, so here are the links to copy and paste if interested.

Honey Baby
Finished a baby blanket named Honey Baby, pattern designed by Anne Hanson. I used Essence, a wonderful merino yarn from The Woolen Rabbit in What's Up Buttercup. The blanket is just beautiful, first great-grandkid gets it, hopefully that won't be soon.
Making it again in a blue wool I already had for a friend's grandson.
Got involved in a KAL on Ravelry, mystery shawl, Evenstar, designed by Susan Pandorf, she's beginning a new series based on The Lord of the Rings. I love her designs, am looking forward to participating.

Completed in Caron's Grandma's Best cotton thread, size 10. Pattern is Marianne Kinzel, Second Book of Modern Lace Knitting. Think I'll try a smaller project next.

Rosie Found
The internet is amazing, a web site, mass emailing, the area was blanketed with Rosie's info and picture, and she was found. Someone spotted her, called Animal Control, who recognized her from the flyer and website, picked her up, and she's now home safely, none the worse for wear.

Lost female German Shepherd
A very good friend is looking for her lost Rosie in the Short North/Grandview/Upper Arlington area. Rosie is a black GSD, petite, friendly but most likely very scared. She escaped from her pet sitter's yard this morning and we're all desparately trying to find her and bring her home. If you are in the Columbus area please keep an eye out for her, large reward, details at this website, including who to call.
